Association Benevolence - Helping those in need

Above: Cpl. Adam Douglas, ex-RDG, with The Proclaimers and representatives of The Forgotten Heroes at the start of the Push 500 Challenge.

One of the three objectives of the Regimental Association is benevolence - defined as, "the provision of relief, either generally or individually, to members of the Association, or past and present Serving Members of the Royal Dragoon Guards, or its predecessor Regiments, who are in conditions of illness, need, hardship or distress."

Anyone who has served in the Regiment, even if only for one day, is automatically eligible to request support from the Regimental Association. Each year, the Association assists about sixty deserving cases. Since 1992 the Association has distributed over £1 Million in direct support of its members and their families.

The Regimental Association can be contacted at Home Headquarters, The Royal Dragoon Guards. For details, please see our contacts page.

To download the Regimental Association's leaflet, describing some of its work and providing printed details for non-electronic donations, please use the link to the right.

Sad that you couldn't even laugh at yourselves and acknowledge your humorous error by publishing my comment re' the Proclaimers not being the Pretenders, or e-mailing me to acknowledge my post or to even thank me for pointing out your error. It doesn't exactly encourage people to provide further observations or suggestions. To make mistakes is human; to stumble is commonplace; to be able to laugh at yourself is maturity.

Lol - It's The Proclaimers not The Pretenders. Although those boys are every bit as ugly as Chrissie Hynde so I can understand the error.
